Ontario voters approve measure to lift ban on marijuana salesLegal marijuana for purchase will be under an hour away for folks in the Treasure Valley. On Tuesday, voters in Ontario approved a measure to lift its ban that allowed businesses to sell marijuana. Proponents received 1,904 yes votes compared to 1,450 no votes. The city will now collect 3 percent on marijuana sales. The proposed ordinance establishes 1,000-foot buffer zones between each marijuana shop as well as schools, parks and homes.
